Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 4, 2026
These Terms govern your use of bidbid.ca, operated by BidBid Online Auctions ("BidBid", "we", "us"). By creating an account, bidding, or buying on BidBid you agree to these Terms. Related policies: Privacy Policy · BidBid Protection.
1. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, current information. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person; accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, abuse other users, or interfere with the operation of the site.
2. Bidding and buying
Every bid is a binding offer. If you are the winning bidder when an auction closes, a contract of sale is formed and an invoice is issued to you. Auction invoices must be paid by the deadline shown on the invoice.
Buy Now (fixed-price and Daily Price Drop) purchases must be paid within 15 minutes. If payment is not completed within 15 minutes of checkout, the order is automatically cancelled and the item is released for sale to other buyers. This keeps fast-moving inventory available and prices honest for everyone.
Prices on Daily Price Drop items change automatically on the schedule shown on the listing. The price at the moment you complete checkout is the price you pay.
3. Payments, fees and taxes
All payments are processed securely by Stripe in Canadian dollars. BidBid never stores your card details. Buyer and seller fees are shown before you commit to a purchase or listing. Applicable federal and provincial taxes are calculated based on the delivery or pickup destination and itemized on your invoice.
4. Pickup, transfers and delivery
At checkout you choose free store pickup, a store-to-store transfer (Toronto, Richmond Hill, Montreal), or home delivery (Ontario and Quebec). Shipping and transfer charges are shown on the listing and at checkout.
Pickup window. Paid orders must be picked up within 7 days of payment (for transfers, within 7 days of the item arriving at your chosen location). You may request up to two additional 7-day extensions, which are granted automatically from your account. Any further extension requires the seller's approval.
Missed pickup. If the pickup window (including any extensions) expires, the order is cancelled and refunded to your original payment method minus a restocking fee, and the item may be relisted.
Inspect before you leave. We strongly encourage you to open and test your item at the store. Wrong-item and visible-damage issues are resolved on the spot at pickup; claims that an item was the wrong item are not accepted after it has left the store. See BidBid Protection for full coverage rules.
5. Condition of goods
BidBid is a liquidation marketplace. Items may be overstock, shelf-pulls, closeouts or customer returns, and are sold in the condition stated on the listing. Sellers are required to describe condition accurately, including known defects and missing parts. Your protection against inaccurate descriptions is set out in BidBid Protection; where an item matches its description, all sales are final unless the seller chooses to accept a return.
6. Sellers
Sellers must have the right to sell every item they list, describe items accurately and completely, honour the sale at the closing price, and make items available for pickup, transfer or delivery promptly after payment. Seller fees and payout terms are disclosed when you list and on your fee invoices. BidBid may remove listings or suspend selling privileges for inaccurate descriptions, non-fulfillment, or fee avoidance. Completing a sale off-platform to avoid fees is prohibited.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not: bid without intent to pay; manipulate prices (including shill bidding); list counterfeit, stolen, recalled or unlawful goods; misuse another user's information; interfere with the site's operation; or use automated tools to scrape or access the site without our written permission.
8. Liability
BidBid provides the marketplace platform; contracts of sale are between buyer and seller. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BidBid's total liability in connection with any transaction is limited to the amount you paid on that transaction. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always on this page with its effective date, and continued use of BidBid after a change constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Questions about these Terms: Contact Us.
